The Accountability Factor

It's week 8, and I have good news. I went for my second dunking on Thursday. Read a few blogs on the HealthQuest site and you will understand what I mean. It was a mid-session check up. I passed! In fact, my body fat composition dropped from 45 % to 44.3 %. I've lost 5 pounds and 3.8 lbs of that was fat! Hallelujah!

I must say I was very pleased with this report. I know my clothes are fitting better; I am feeling better; and people are saying nice things about me and to me. I could not have made it this far without "The Accountability Factor." Accountability is sort of like my conscience...if asked, I want to be able to say I am giving this HealthQuest my full attention and genuinely trying to make permanent changes in my lifestyle.

So I confess that today, I stayed home for no other reason than I just didn't want to go. I am not even sure why. I went yesterday and I worked hard. I like what is happening with my health. I like how I feel all day AFTER the workout. I like my new friends. So many issues are swirling in my head these days, that I don't always know what to do with them. So today, I chose to stay home and journal and pray.

Tomorrow, I will go back to exercise. Maybe Carter will plan something with those tires...

Missed you today. We did more of those bear crawls and burpees with pushing the weight like you said you guys had done on Monday when I was out. Maybe we will get to do some tire work tomorrow. I love the tire stuff! See you tomorrow friend!
Love you,
Jules

Alisa,

I could not be happier for you! Your body fat composition numbers alone are well-worth a HALLELUJAH!! Then to add feeling better, clothes fitting better along with compliments on top of that - WOW! That is a lot to process.

Remember when Carter talked about our minds sometimes rebelling the things we are doing at times? So often it is about the very things that we are doing FOR ourselves. I hit that "wall" a week or so ago and it was a struggle to overcome it. I'm certain you will do just that ~ and I can't think of a better way than through prayer and journaling.

Blessings,
julie

Alisa,

Love that honesty! There are so many things that pull at us every day. Sometimes it is a great idea just to stop and pull out for a day. I'm so thankful that you did that.

And I'm THRILLED about your numbers. That is the best reward. You have worked very hard, doing everything that has been asked of you and you are seeing progress.

So, so happy!

Renee

Alisa,

Congratulations on your body fat compositon loss! I couldn't agree with you more that the accountability factor of our team is totally motivating. . . very helpful when the alarm goes off at 4 a.m.

You are a true blessing. See you tomorrow. Kim

Hey Girl! Just wanted to let you know I am missing my work out buddy! It's lonely on the mall end without ya! :) I know it's rough when you wake up in the middle of the night to MAKE yourself get out of the bed when that alarm goes off, but that's what I had to do to get my "clock" back on this schedule. I also had to go to bed just a little later so I would sleep through that internal clock thingy happening with the time change. SO! I'll see you in the morning my sister, my friend! We can do this. Just three weeks left! You have been missed and not just by me! So make our day tomorrow....come and see us at 5:00 a.m. Love you! Jules
